Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Leather Pouch Review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Leather Pouch was an easy first purchase along with the Galaxy Tab 10.1 I purchased a couple of months ago, because it looked good in press shots and was only about $29. I’m glad to say, looking back now, that I’m glad I bought it. It looks simple but professional with a slightly coarse leather texture on both sides, the subtle Samsung logo in one corner and the inconspicuous stitching along the sides. On the inside is a soft suede like material, gray in color, that allows the Galaxy Tab 10.1 to slide in and out easily. Overall the case is very light at 136g and very thin, barely adding to the overall thickness like a lot of leather cases out there do.
Hands on video review:

It’s easy to slip the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in and out of the sleeve, and fits in snugly with a final push at the end to fit the whole tablet in. If you do turn the sleeve upside down, the tablet will fall if you’re holding the sleeve lightly. This is something to take note off if you will be carrying it around a lot.
The only case that I would not recommend this Leather Pouch is if you toss around your bag / briefcase or have other stuff to carry that might cause scratches on the Galaxy Tab 10.1. In that case, I’d recommend a case that prevents the tablet from slipping out. In terms of actual protection, the Leather Pouch is thick enough that I feel pretty safe with it.
You can buy the Samsung Leather Pouch at Amazon.com for under $29 these days.
